Please note: Join here ONLY if you are teaching your own children at your home. If you run a small school, learning centre or micro-school, you need to join with another form. Please go to this page to join as a school or centre. Thank you!


  • Create your account on the online database:
    • Click here to join.

    • A new page will open with a space to login. Click on “Sign up as an English-speaking Member” and create a profile. Return to the previous page.
    • Sign in with the email address and password you have just created.
  • Complete the application form:
    • Follow the instructions on screen to complete the online application form for membership of the Pestalozzi Trust. It will take about 20 minutes to complete. You will only have to do this once for as long as you are a member of the Pestalozzi Trust.
    • Make sure you click the “Finish!” button at the end. This sends your application form to the office.
  • Wait for an email to indicate whether you application has been accepted or declined. It takes up to 15 working days to process your application form.
    • If your application is declined, the office will correspond with your personally.
    • If your application is accepted, you will receive an email with the following information:
          1. The amount payable for your membership fee;
          2. The reference to be used on your payment; and
          3. A button to upload your proof of payment.
  • Activate your membership:
    • Pay your membership fee and save the proof of payment or proof of stop order electronically (see below for payment options).
    • Request activation of your membership by uploading your proof of payment to the system. Your membership will be activated as soon as your payment has been processed (between 7 and 14 working days).
    • After your membership has been activated you will receive access to the Member’s Centre. At the Member’s Centre you can update your information, renew your membership, and receive members only information.

Is the data that I supply on my online application form safe?


  • Any data you enter on the database will only be visible to yourself, and to those employees of the Pestalozzi Trust who are cleared to view that data.
  • Your data is encrypted both while moving between your web browser and the servers, and while at rest in the server. It is encrypted using SHA-256 and AES-256 encryption, which is the strongest encryption available. This is the same level of encryption that banks use.
  • Your data is stored on servers overseas. This makes it difficult for any third parties in South Africa to obtain access to it without your permission.

How much is the membership fee?

The membership fee is R1200 per family per annum.

Do you qualify for a discount? If you join (1) when your eldest turns 7, (2) before you remove your children from school, or (3) within 3 months of taking them out of school, you pay the reduced fee of R1080 per family per annum.

Renew on time: Members who renew on time remain on the fee level at which they joined, in spite of increases in the membership fee in the future.

When do we pay the membership fee?

After your membership has been approved, you will receive an email detailing the amount payable for the year, as well as the reference to be used for payment. After you have received the email, you can:

  1. Pay the full membership fee and upload your proof of payment to the online system; or
  2. Take out a stop order with your bank for a twelfth of the annual fee, and upload proof of your stop order to the online system. For example: If your membership fee is R1200 per family per annum, your stop order will be R100 per month, and if your membership fee is R1080 per family per annum, your stop order will be R90 per month.

How do we pay the membership fee?

You may pay once-off, or you may pay by stop order.

If you pay by stop order you can request a non-expiring stop order, which simply runs on and which you only have to cancel when your children have finished schooling.

Please use the reference number you will receive via email from us after your application has been accepted. Ask your bank to ensure that the reference number appears on OUR bank statement, so that we can link your payment to your account (therefore place your reference number in the recipient reference).

Membership of the Trust covers 12 months. Does the 12 month period start when joining the Trust, or does it run from January to December?

The membership period stretches over 12 months, from the date of joining the Trust (for example from 1 January 2022) to 12 months after that date (for example to 1 January 2023).
