DIE TYD IS MIN
Die Departement van Basiese Onderwys maak gereed om een van die dae die BELA Bill aan die Council of Education Ministers (CEM) voor te lê. Jou provinsiale minister van onderwys of LUR (MEC) sit op die CEM, en dit is nou jou LAASTE KANS om jou provinsiale minister te versoek om jou saak by die Nasionale Minister te bepleit. As jou verkose verteenwoordiger (of jy vir hulle gestem het of nie) moet die Minister die sienings van die mense in die provinsie verteenwoordig.
VRA DIE MINISTER OM SY/HAAR PLIG TE DOEN en aan die Nasionale Minister oor te dra wat die tuisskolers in jou provinsie dink van die BELA Bill.
Jy moet ONMIDDELLIK OPTREE om die vryheid in tuisonderwys te beskerm teen die indringerige BELA Bill.
Die BELA Bill het baie aandag getrek en teenkanting gekry toe dit vir die eerste gepubliseer is, maar die tyd het verbygegaan, die media het belangstelling verloor, COVID het ons lewens omver gewerp en die meeste van ons het vergeet daarvan. Maar…
DIE BELA BILL IS TERUG!!!
Deur die toedoen van het die DBO al ‘n paar belangrike veranderinge aan die Bill aangebring, maar dit verander nie die feit nie dat :
- As dit wet word, sal die DBO tuisskolers kan vervolg, en jy sal gewillig moet wees om jou tuisonderwys in die hof te verdedig.
- ‘n Amptenaar sal besluit of jy geskik is vir tuisonderwys.
- Jou kind sal teen die kriteria van die Nasionale Kurrikulumstelling/CAPS geassesseer word. Kyk die artikels CAPS1 en CAPS2 vir ‘n bespreking van hierdie punt.
Maar JY KAN IETS DOEN
Die DBO beweer in die openbaar en in die parlement dat hulle slegs wette maak wat op navorsing gebaseer en wetenskaplik gefundeer is. Die Pestalozzi Trust het oor die afgelope 20 jaar herhaalde male ‘n beroep op die Departement gedoen om navorsing te doen oor tuisonderwys.
In 2015 het die Departement besef dat navorsing oor tuisonderwys nodig is. Die Departement se eie konsultant het gesê dat betroubare inligting oor tuisonderwys sou eers deur onafhanklike navorsing ingewin moes word voor enige veranderinge aan die wet aangebring kan word.
Dit is ‘n omslagtige manier om te sê dat mens nie wette moet maak oor dinge wat jy nie verstaan nie, en dit is wat die Departement se eie kenner vir hulle gesê het. Kortom:
GEEN NAVORSING – GEEN BELA BILL NIE
Jou provinsie se LUR (MEC) vir Onderwys of Minister van Onderwys moet van jou af hoor dat hulle op die heel minste, nie die BELA Bill sal goedkeur nie, tot tyd en wyl die DBO geloofwaardige navorsing oor tuisonderwys gedoen het.
DIE TYD RAAK MIN: STUUR ‘N BRIEF, ASB
Die Pestalozzi Trust het ‘n stelsel ontwikkel wat jou in staat stel om maklik ‘n dringende brief aan jou MEC te stuur, waarin jy hom inlig dat die BELA Bill geen navorsing het om hierdie verandering van die wetgewing te ondersteun nie. Sit ook uiteen waarom jy gekant is teen die BELA BILL.
Die Trust het die saak met die DBO beredeneer, maar die argumente wat die Trust voorlê word afgemaak as die siening van ‘n paar onvergenoegde tuisskolers. BEWYS HULLE VERKEERD.
Ons doen ‘n beroep om tuisskolers om in groot getalle saam te staan om die DBO en die Provinsiale Onderwysdepartemente te wys dat die OORGROTE MEERDERHEID van ons die BELA BILL VERWERP.

SAL DIE DBO WEET WIE DIE BRIEF GESTUUR HET?
NEE; dit sal ‘n ANONIEME BRIEF wees. Net die Trust sal weet dat jy ‘n brief gestuur het.
Hoe sal my brief lyk wat na die Minister toe gaan? Wanneer die Minister dit ontvang, sal jou brief só lyk .
Moet jou nie bekommer nie – jy sal nie met die MEC/Minister hoef te vergader nie. Die Trust sal namens jou die vergadering bywoon, en tuisonderwysverenigings en tuisonderwys-ouers uitnooi. As ons daarin slaag om uitgenooi te word, en jy graag ook die vergadering wil bywoon, laat ons asseblief weet.
Soos ons hierbo gesê het, hou die platform van die Pestalozzi Trust ook ‘n rekord van al die briewe wat gestuur word, sodat dit as getuienis gebruik kan word in enige hofsaak. Jou kontakinligting sal veilig in ‘n verborge lêer slegs op die Pestalozzi Trust-webblad bewaar word ; dus sal jy jou nie hoef te bekommer daaroor dat jou besonderhede êrens gaan uitlek nie.

Hierdie alarm is ‘n ORANJE ALARM; dringende AKSIE is NOU NODIG om te keer dat die situasie versleg. Selfs as die BELA Bill by die CEM goedgekeur word, sal dit nog nie wet wees nie, en ons sal voortgaan om daarteen te veg terwyl dit vir die parlement voorberei word en ook wanneer dit voor die parlement kom, maar KOM ONS STOP DIE BELA BILL NET HIER!

My child is autistic and will not be able to be in any school. Only way to educate him according to his needs is at home. My child and my choice best for him. Nobody else knows him better.
My rede is daar is geen disepliene in skole nie en dat daar Gans te veel leer longe in n klas is en dat kinders nie die regte aan dag kry wat hulle nodig het nie. Bielie is baie erg en niks word om trent dit gedoen nie net n klap op die hand. Kinders word terug gehou om dat hulle nie sielkundig reg is vir die volgende Graad nie. Wie is sielkundig ooit reg wat voor le. Kinders is meer gelukkig om tuis onderig te ontvang, want hulle kry die aan dag wat hulle nodig het en verdien. So doende presteer hulle beter en hulle is nie so erg onder druk nie. Dis elke ouers se reg om n besluit te maak wat hulle goed dink vir hulle kinders, en dis nie die straat se besluit nie.

Although we use the CAPS system as a guideline to make sure our kids are on the department standard, the CAPS system is not a one-size-fits-all system. No child is the same and every child needs specific learning structures which I, as a parent can supply to my child.

I used to be a teacher for a out 10-15 years but when lockdown come I decided to take my Kids out of school and teach them at home.
There are so many fantastic options available online.
My one Child does CAPS and the other one Cambridge because they are different. CAPS is too easy for the other one and she gets frustated with the work.
I believe we must let our children achieve their fully potential, please don’t take that away from them.
My Kids are very happy with Botha of there curriculums.
Please make room for homeschool children as the world we are living in now has changed.
Nothing is safe anymore.
